Welcome to my personal portfolio for my recent work. As a GIS specialist, I have a passion for problem-solving and innovation. My projects reflect my dedication to excellence and my commitment to finding creative solutions. Please take a look at some of my recent work below.
Application of GEDI in Big Cypress National Preserve
Lead Researcher
This project aims to explore the accuracy of the GEDI dataset in classifying different vegetation types in a specific area (Big Cypress National Preserve in the United States). We compared the GEDI dataset's accuracy with the results of a vegetation survey conducted in 2019. The study used machine learning to verify the accuracy of the vegetation classification, and the outcome will be a comprehensive map of vegetation for the area.

Small-scale use of GEDI in Kenting National Park
Lead Rersearcher
This study aims to utilize the GEDI dataset to explore vegetation structure in Kenting National Park. The objectives are twofold: first, to identify distinct characteristics of vegetation communities, and second, to create a predictive map of these vegetation zones using machine learning techniques. Twenty-five sites within the park will be selected, intersecting with five GEDI datasets. These sites will be verified and classified into five unique vegetation types found in the park: seaside forest, seaside shrubs, grassland, tropical rainforest, and subtropical forest, based on the full-waveform GEDI02_B dataset.

Augmented and Virtural reality Outreach
Chief Designer
This project developed and deployed interactive mixed-reality applications for scientific communication and environmental awareness. We created realistic 3D models and visuals using both high and low-resolution cameras and specialized rendering platforms. Moreover, we utilized open-source tools for mixed reality applications and specimen model workflow. We designed and configured quickly deployable applications to enhance research visibility and engage stakeholders and students. The project aimed to demonstrate ecological concepts through interactive and controlled virtual environments.
